The Iraq Solidarity Campaign is proud to be organising a film evening, where we will be screening: "Regeneration", the 2001 film based upon the book by award winning author Pat Barker.
The film depicts the lives of World War One soldiers and includes the famous anti-war poets Wilfred Owen and Seigfried Sassoon all of whom are in a Scottish institution for mental illness, having suffered from "trauma" or "Shell Shock", whilst at the Front or in the case of Sassoon - for having spoken out against the war!
The film goes into quite allot of detail about the lives of those in the trenches and the effects that these men came back with from the war - that was to end all wars!
REGENERATION - Film night!
Date: Wednesday 15th December.
Time: 7-00pm.
Venue: The Friends Meeting House, Mount Street, Manchester City Centre (behind the Central Library).
