A Skint But Pretty play in three episodes

Writing trio Skint But Pretty debuts it's first hour-long work, "The
One-Eyed Houseguest," this month as part of the Manchester 24:7
Theatre Festival.

Over three twenty-minute episodes, the comedy explores what happens to
a family plagued with a type of vermin known as a "Reality TV crew."
Using intrusive lenses and manipulated confrontations, a supposedly
'fly-on-the-wall' camera crew turns up the family's buried desires and
resentments, demonstrating that a television audience can know them
better than they know themselves.

Skint But Pretty is Peter Brooks, Simon Bestwick and Dave Maass -
three talented, but very different writers who met through a writer's
workshop in Didsbury Village in February. After three months of
brewing and brooding, of disputing and distilling, the team passed the
one-hour play onto directors Tracy Gentles and Claire Allen, both of
whom specialise in multi-media theatre.
