The Iraq Solidarity Campaign was established in 2003, out of the Coalition Against Sanctions and War on Iraq which campaigned, in the North of the UK, against the UN imposed sanctions, which were put in place in the 1990's on Iraq.
We have protested against the US/UK military strikes in Iraq during this period, and more lately, against the invasion of Iraq.
After 12 years of inestimable suffering for the people of Iraq, sanctions have finally ended - to suit the occupying forces.
Yet, with so many uncertainties over future developments in Iraq, our solidarity with the Iraqi people is needed more than ever.
The Iraq Solidarity Campaign will continue to provide information and organise protests around Iraq-related issues in the North of England and we will collaborate with others on more general initiatives effecting countries and communities like in Palestine.
The ISC is a British based organisation and welcomes people to join with us in raising one voice against the occupation and for Human Rights.
