After actions against the G8 meeting in Evian where met with repression and brutality. Groups presented embassies with a letter outlining contraventions to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights— and demanded:
An immediate, open, transparent enquiry into the events surrounding the injuries of Guy Smallman and Martin Shaw.
The immediate suspension of the police persons and commanding officers responsible
Full compensation of all justifiable costs to those with long term injuries as a result of the actions by officers acting under Swiss control.
Early on Monday morning around 20 people, to the rhythms of the Samba band surrounded the Swiss embassy in Amsterdam.
