The Solidarity Collective at the Israeli Embassy
At 8 am on Friday the 25th of July 2014 members of the Solidarity Collective and friends will stage a dignified vigil outside the offices of the BBC. For many years the BBC has distorted the truth about what is going on in Gaza and Palestine as a whole.
The continued Orwellian reporting being delivered via the television from the likes of the BBC, but not exclusively, has continued to strengthen our determination to confront the lies both online and on the streets
Many of us are parents, so watching the broken bodies of children being lifted by the grieving relatives has driven many of us to despair but even that could not could help us understand what it’s really like to live in Gaza, knowing that every day you may lose someone close to you because of indiscriminate bombing that continues hourly, despite it being illegal under international law. The mainstream media either remains silent or reports this illegal invasion as if it is two armies facing each other.
Anyone is welcome to attend; we are of the firm belief that it is better to light a candle than complain of the dark
