I am writing with regard to the Getty Images scam that has been going on for some time, whereby threatening letters and demands are sent for what amount to trivial copyright infringements. While technically there is a case, the circumstances are somewhat mitigating.
As with most points of view there are many and they all depend on your standpoint as to what you consider right, wrong or just plain unfair.
I am merely circulating my concerns on this matter and as such include a copy of my letter in pdf format.
While you may not be able to comment on the matter from a professional position I would appreciate a few minutes of your time reading it.
Failing that please do a web search for Getty Images Extortion Letter, to see the scale of this problem.
Many thanks
Brian Clark.

It appears to be a long the same lines as the Getty Images scam - if we do not pay this within 7 days, Mr Colin Thomas advises us that we will find ourselves in court!
Has anyone else received a similar threat from Colin Thomas Photography Ltd?
Would appreciate your comments - it would appear the Getty images scam is now hitting small UK businesses also.
