Weighs Like a Nightmare
8-11th November 2012 at SOAS, London, WC1
Has Marx been reanimated once again? From mainstream media to academia, this question hangs in the air. The old ghosts of revolution appear to be shaking off their shackles and getting agitated. What is this spirit? Who are the militants haunting this ramshackle capitalism? Are these new spectres – stalking the streets of Syria, Tunisia and Egypt, Athens, Spain and Wall Street and beyond – direct descendants of socialist and communist ones? How does the past haunt the present? How might the present spook the future?
Whatever answers crop up, the old questions refuse to go away: What type of organisation is needed to sharpen the conflicts, if any? Who is the agent of history and change? Is the scope of political action national or international? What is the political value of alliances and fronts? Does history cunningly work a progressive path through and around the contingencies of struggle? Are the same mistakes to be made, the same failures repeated?
The ninth HM annual conference focuses on the returns and the persistence of political forms and theoretical problems, on the uses and abuses of the history of Marxism in this turbulent present and on the ways and forms in which an inheritance of various Marxist traditions can help us to organise and to act in this turbulent present.
The conference is self-funded and we will depend on voluntary donations by attendants and participants to support the organisation and running of the event. The suggested donation on the door is £75 for waged and £35 for unwaged.

Herstorical Materialism Seems not to be Given its Necessary Space Here.

The alienated specie began firstly amongst the British Tribes with the Roman Slaveholders Sextus Conquest around 42AD onwards in every empire. It surprises me that with the New Millenium the material need to double democracy politically, economically, culturally, judicially, and regio wise is not on everyones agenda. So much is at stake when male domination occurs throughout, each and every society.
The fact that with the illegal wars of aggression compounding the pollution, that is caused by the industrial revolution motivated by coal, gas, oil and atomic energy while controlled and pushed by Imperialist man; less the women's more creative responsibility for the creation of life processes, it shows how the rating of an endangered specie is showing throughout the planet. Please have a Herstorical Materialist Meeting soon, before the ecological web-of-life does collapse on you.
Ours and all the ecological organic balances of the web-of-life globally are endangered by the six overkill capacity Imperialist Man has put in place. So much so that the Imperialist-Camp has a six overkill response from its unforgiven war machine, and its manufactury, proves again that liberation is from Militarization, and towards democracy as collective agree, and mutual benefit so long forgotten as the new methods of settling disputes between nations. Woe is me.
When will they take the time to restore the matriarchy and include Huwomany in the language, and let 50-50 natural electing take place at every level, so harmony and balanced joy can again occur as is the natural condition of the man woman question.
Workers of the world, unite!! End pollution wars, not endless wars for more and more pollution. You yet have a world to win!
