Celebrate the financial crisis

06.10.2008 09:48

I think a carnival atmosphere to celebrate the financial crisis would be nice :)

Party

Want to seem even more out of touch?

Given the wall of silence from the 'alternative' left and mainstream socialists that has greeted the financial meltdown I think that having a party to celebrate people losing their jobs and homes will not come across particularly well. If this crisis is to be treated as an opportunity we need to come up with some answers rather than being smug about city bankers getting fucked onto the scrap heap cause at the end of the day it'll be ordinary people that get shafted by the meltdown and the fat cats will get a bonus for their troubles.

Just a thought......

no way should anyone march with opportunistic joke SWP sell outs

06.10.2008 11:00

the swp call out should be disregarded the time to join a cause just because it is inherently a good idea with some very bad sentiments has seen people vote in Labour because they are scared of the BNP when we have seen more racism and bigotry from the Labour elites of all types and colours. The East End itself was betrayed by John Rees and George Galloway who deserve to be out with the miserable swp. Recently I heard these jokers who refused to march with the anarchists and would not even be housed near them are making a film about what happened in Genoa. They are only interested in rewriting history to make it seem as if they are a political force, they are worthless ignorant opportunists who have more in common with bush so sorry i will never march with these people.

I will go for ethics not the swp making some opportunistic call out as these people never had the answers, never will and are a bunch of the worst kind of political chameleon opportunists.

Once Again...

06.10.2008 19:27

...we reach a point of crisis, a point that calls for action, and once again we see the same tired old ideas. Whatever happened to class organisation?

"Why has the oppressed proletariat not come to its senses and joined you in your fight for world liberation? ... Because they know that your antiquated styles of protest – your marches, hand held signs, and gatherings – are now powerless to effect real change because they have become such a predictable part of the status quo. They know that your post-Marxist jargon is off-putting because it really is a language of mere academic dispute, not a weapon capable of undermining systems of control…"
