Baluch [also spelled Baloch] who got politically divided under Biritsh Imperial rule are today stateless in southwest Asia. Their homeland was used for testing Pakistan's so-called Islamic Bomb in May 1998. Their persecution remains unmitigated both in Iran and Pakistan. A new body has been formed to unite the Baluch, a fiercely individualistic people.

LONDON: In an unprecedent move, members of the Baluch Diaspora from Iran, Pakistan, North America, Europe and theGulf nations of UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman -- at least 12 nations -- agreed to form a single organization, called Baloch Human Rights Council, in London with veteran political activist Akbar Barakzai as its interim executive president and Abdus Samad Baloch as its general secretary.
According to a Press release, the new body will attempt to address the aggregated gross human rights violations in Baluchistan by both Iran and Pakistan. Baluch activists complain of an unseen Berlin Wall that was erected in Baluchistan when Iran occupied a huge part of Baluchistan the size of Nevada in 1928 , but the British who then controlled their homeland looked the other way. The area in Pakistan is slightly bigger than New Mexico, while the territory inside Afghanistan is the size of West Virginia. The artificial divison has left Baluch all over the world run in different directions, politically.
Through a resolution the Baluch from different parts of the world said they have decided to form Baloch Human Rights Council with an objective of securing human rights, land rights of indigenous Baluch populace, release of political detainees, stopping forceful disappearance of Baluch political and human rights activists, promoting Baluchi language as medium of instruction, stopping summary executions of Baluch youth, ensuring Baluch control over natural resources of Baluchistan, recognition of Baluch culture and heritage, ensuring freedom of thought and religion and stopping testing of nuclear weapons in Baluchistan and stopping growth of religious extremism and terrorism
A woman activist , Bibi Mahnaz Baloch, has been brought to the forefront of the new body as its cultural secretary.
The London-based international effort replicates the Baluch experience in Canada where the Baluch Diaspora, in spite of the diverse political backgrounds, undertake joint action on issue to issue basis on human rights violations in both Pakistan and Iran.
The other leaders of the new group are Dr. Habib Malik, president; Hassan Hamdam, vice president; Mir Ghulam Hussain, information secretary, and Shahaab Baloch, finance secretary.
The new body was announced after two days of brain-storming sessions. In addition to the interim committee a general council and a constitution committee were also formed.
The leadership of the new group held discussions with Khan of Kalat, Beglar Begi [Prince among the Princes] His Highness Suleman Daud Ahmedzai and former provincial minister Nawabzada Hairbiyar Marri, son and heir-apparent of veteran Baloch nationalist leader Nawab Khair Bakhsh Marri.
Both the Khan of Kalat and Nawabzada Hairbiyar Marri are in self-exile in the U.K.
North America was represented at the moot by Dr. Zafar Baloch.
“This was a truly historic event. It succeeded well beyond my imagination,” Dr. Zafar Baloch said. He said delegates from Turkmenistan and Africa will also partake in the BHRC deliberations.
Meanwhile, Baluch notable from Mekran and board member of the American Friends of Baluchistan, Mohammed Ali Baloch welcomed the formation of the new group and hoped that it will give a fresh impetus to the Baloch struggle to get justice at the various international fora, especially the International Court of Justice at the Hague.
Dr. Zafar Baloch said the BHRC will crusade for victory at the ICJ.
Mohammed Ali Baloch, speaking to this correspondent from Philadelphia, said the AFB looks upon all organizations, big or small, both inside and outside Pakistani and Iranian Balochistan working for Baloch emancipation with equal respect. He said the new organization is a valuable addition.
“Some of the faces in the new body and their past politics need no introduction,” said Muhammad Ali Baloch, adding that what delights him the most is the point on ending nuclear tests in Balochistan.
The new body has also formed a constitution committee that includes Dr. Abdul Majeed, Dr. Azim Shirani, Dr. M. Husseinbor, Dr. Shambe Baloch and Dr. Zafar Baloch.

According to their Press release issued, the newly formed body of these thugs, disguised as "Baluch Nationalists" under the cover of "Baluch Human Rights Council", will attempt to carry out the same line of ISI plan of action as their master National Party (NP) of Waja Dr. Malek Sahib, who is a well know ISI agent, elected in the Paki Senate by Jam and his PML(Q) Mush Toola. His party is a well know ISI affiliated and funded Baluch party, mostly popular in Mekuran region. The BRHC main goal will be to support the ISI plans to mislead Baloch people and counter the true Baluch Diaspora struggle, the same way NP is doing inside Baluchistan.
The London meeting was held secretly in hast , behind the closed doors, without announcing it in advance in the media and giving out its agenda and sending out its invitations. The major Baluch Diaspora organizations were not invited. Only selected individuals, ISI agents and their collaborators were invited. It was just a another gathering of few thugs who have no political agenda or any track record of supporting Baluch struggle. The organizers of the event are not well known figures in Baluch Diaspora community. The main organizer of the event calls himself a "proud to be a Pakistani passport holder", spent three months in Pakistan, having long meetings and discussions with ISI agents and getting their plan finalized under the ISI directions. Another organizer is a well know thief who has been involved in many cases of stealing, fraud and rape of Baluch women. The members of the body's were a selected rather than elected in a democratic way.
Conclusion: This is NOT a representative body of Baluch Diaspora at all but rather another group of few thugs who want steal and hijack Baluch struggle on behalf of ISI to mislead the Baluch people and the world community. They don't have a clear cut vision, aims or objectives to liberate Baluchistan, as they fall short of talking against or even mentioning it, in their press release about the Pakistani and Iranian illegal occupation of Baluch lands. Most of the objectives seems to be the same as of National Party (NP)'s slogans. The NP leadership has been blamed by Baluch people to be a part of ISI games to carry out their agenda against Baluch interests. Every Baluch should remember the leader of NP, Dr. Hayee Baluch, hugging Non-Baluch then Governor of Baluchistan, Mr. Owais Ghani, the killer of Nawab Akbar Bugti, in a gathering in Quetta, congratulating him, while Governor praising him, NP and its leadership. Let's not be fooled by these thugs. I request these thugs to PLEASE DO NOT use OUR Baluch Martyr's name to farther YOUR heinous game against Baluch people. I also request the true Baluch Diaspora leadership to move forward with a better plan to not let these thugs and ISI agent to HIJACK the Baluch Diaspora struggle. It is good they came out of the closet quickly so everybody can see their evil faces. Now we all know who they are.

Thank you for exposing these thugs. I agree with you. This should not been done in closed door, undemocratically and secretly. It should been announced in media and everyone Baloch Diaspora group should been invited.But as you see, it was done among "like minded" persons to exclude the true Baloch Diaspora groups, it lacks it's credibility. I would call them "Thugs" too, because they lacks any record of serving the Baloch cause but their masters, the ISI and the Paki establishment. These people are the true cancer of Baloch Society. They think Baloch people will fall into their trap of their fancy "Balochi Slogans" and do not take into account of their black past or of their personal history. These "proud Pakis" have no right to BARK for "Baloch Rights" as they are all partner in Baloch killings and Genocide with their Punjabi Masters.

2.The person who has been selected to lead your movement is barakzai. He is not a Baloch but a pashtun.
3. What is today Balochistan is largely Pashtun area and Pashtuns aspiration are not the same as Baloch.
4. Mir Sulaman Daud should be asked what did his grand father do for the development of his so called Balochs before 1948. The development you see in Quetta and north was done by the Britishers but during the same period Khan of Kalat did nothing for Balochs. Please donot lay claim to Pashtun areas. It will prove disasterious to you all. Last time your so called Rind King ran to Okara. This time you will land in sea.

Balochistan is the largest province in Pakistan having 17 seats in the National Assembly, and 65 in the provincial assembly. It also has 22 seats in the Senate like any other province of the country. In total, it is represented by 104 seats which is a sizable representation. This article is misleading the readers to think that baloch people are stateless.
Propaganda like this does not solve anything but creates alot of hatred among people resulting in violent confrontations.
