Every Saturday in the middle of Penzance town for as long as most peoples memory, there has been a Saturday peace vigil, kept going by one real old character.
This man is Peter, a veteran peace campaigner, and a pensioner with passion, his mission, no less than to avert climate catastrophe by diverting the funds we spend on our nuclear "defence".
The vision he held, and has manifested is .......The Little Peace Boat.
He has, on a shoestring budget, limited, the same as any other pensioner's, sailed the 22ft little peace boat "Be Disarming" through both storms and doldrums, all the way from home in Penzance Cornwall to the Kent Climate Camp, and is now on his way up the Thames headed for Westminster.
His tiny boat flies CND as large as possible on its sail, 50 years after creation of the symbol. He aims to reach Westminster tomorrow on the anniversary of Hiroshima. We (UK) plan to spend 76 billion pounds on a new nuclear deterrent, the same money as its estimated we would need to reduce our climate impact to zero.
All major wars are fought for oil, for the ability to ruin the planet.
We are being duped by excuses and other stories but time has run out.
We are about to leave a legacy for our children, a toxic fireball of a planet, very different from the nurturing place we were born into.
Lets take responsibility now.

Tomorrow morning (6th Aug) he will anchor at City Hall and go to Tavistock Square to the Ghandi Statue for the CND gathering, the memorial of Hiroshima.
The time of this is 12-1pm. Caroline Lucas and many other people will be there.
At 4pm Outside City Hall there will be a greeting for The Little Peace Boat, Kate Hudson, chair of CND, Jeremy Corbyn, MP for Islington are both coming, Boris Johnson is invited too

This boat with its powerful message and popular following will return from Westminster to the Climate Camp.
He has been boarded by police twice to be served long lists of places and installations that he cannot go within 60 meters of, oil refineries etc!
Of course they are so sure that longstanding pacifists are the most dangerous secret terrorists...
