Wembley Tent City Occupation: Urgent Call To Action

Wembley Tent City Occupation | 13.07.2008 23:20 | Education | Free Spaces | Social Struggles | London

We need more people, numbers, for the day, a morning or afternoon or come and stay, squat the land. Smash school privatisation. Oppose education for profit.

There is a lot of work to over the next few days. Wembley Anti-Academy Tent City Occupation needs help.

On Tuesday 15 July 2008 Brent Council will head for Wellesden County Court to seek an eviction order to legalise the forceful removal of Wembley Tent City Occupation.

The camp asks for people's urgetn assistance, especially those with non-violent direct action experience.

Barricades designed to halt and hold up any kind of eviction need to be prepared, banners to be painted and readied for building drops and many other fun things to cause as much annoyance and disruption to Brent Council and Academy private investors Ark, and any henchmen either decide to employ to rid them of the mass opposition to the Wembley Academy.

There are plenty more ideas on what to do to halt this project. Come along to find out.

If you have experience or just want to come along to join in, all are welcome. There is plenty to be doing over the next two days and right through the week.
