Location: Knightsbridge, London.
As far as I understand these protests will be occurring every Saturday for the forseeable future.
(Or until Harrods decide not to stock any more fur products.)
The protesters are a well-read, gentle, humorous bunch, who get their point across without being overly aggressive. They have my full support.
In the tradition of street-activists, they even alternate their loudhaler protests with the local West-Indian busking troupe, so they don't drown out their steel band. This made me smile.
As well as generating a large amount of interest with Londoners doing their shopping, the protests are also a definite hit with the tourists, who stand around snapping away with their ice-creams and trying to work out what is going on. (Amazingly, the protesters re-run their comments on the loudhaler in perfect Spanish for exactly this reason.)
Satisfyingly, there is nothing the Harrods security can do, except watch.

If you'd like to see more of my images, or if you have an event or protest you need someone to cover, drop me a line. I'll be happy to help if I'm free that day.
