Speaking to a Londoner this evening, his response was: "You've got to be fucking kidding me?"
I showed him the news article, "Metronet costs taxpayers £1.7bn," and he went red with rage.
"So, what you gonna do about it?" I asked.
He stopped fuming, the redness subsided and he went back to his job, working on the London Underground.
Is there any response from the RMT Union, or even Mr. Bob Crow, who is the first to call to action when it directly hits them?
So, what now Bob?
Well, now the PPP (Public Private Partnership) has yet again hit everyone, everyone, that is, except the ones who messed up in the first place, made millions magically disappear, demanded more, got it, messed up again and then made a run for it, like the end of some kind of sick Trigger Happy Fat Cat TV sketch.
To add further insult, those who took to the picket lines against Metronet last year, are now the ones, well, some of them, who will be paying the Metronet bill. They will be paying the ones who have continuously tried to destroy the unions, the workers and the public, as they, and those like them, seek to gain complete private control over public services - be them transport, education or health care.
Who gets let off the hook?
Well, they're big, fat, make meow noises and constitute less than one percent of the country, that owns a good 90 percent of the countries wealth.
And to jump ahead of the comments that may or may not attack this post, comments like: "Well, don't pay your tax then, I don't," just remember, isn't it the Fat Cats we're all against, whether it directly affects you or not.
Think before you answer.
