How does a construction contractor from a tough Brooklyn neighborhood become an impassioned animal advocate?

The Witness is an award-winning documentary by grass-roots New York-based film makers Tribe of Heart. It tells the story of a tough Brooklyn guy who disliked and mistrusted animals until he babysat a kitten to get a date!

His incredible journey is really about redemption and the power of the individual to effect change. With humor and sincerity, Eddie tells the story of his remarkable change in consciousness.

“Eddie Lama is living proof of something that we all hope and pray is true, that one person’s change of heart can change the world.”

Q&A afterwards with Keith Mann, British animal rights campaigner and writer.
