This Wednesday, the ghosts of victims will come to haunt a local factory where weapons components are made and designed, at 4-6pm outside the factory on Home Farm Road.. The ghosts will join with witches, and zombies to remind the staff of EDO MBM of their role in killing civilians and committing a war crimes.
Recent surveys estimate over a million people have been killed by the conflict in Iraq, so there are expected to be plenty of ghosts enthusiastically following Halloween traditions to ward off evil spirits. EDO MBM makes parts for the Paveway bomb, which was the munition most used in the aerial bombardment of Iraq in 2003.
Sarah Johnson, spokesperson for Smash EDO, says 'The weapons components they make at EDO in Brighton create a real life horror story for millions of people when families are torn apart by war. We invite everyone to come with fancy dress, or without, to tell the arms dealers that their murderous trade is not welcome here or anywhere else. Bring pans, drums, whistles and flares or a good strong banshee!
