Darfur Regugees To Be Given Asylum In Israel

Malchik | 05.09.2007 10:16 | London | South Coast

Israel intends to grant citizenship to several hundred refugees from Darfur who are currently in the country

Israel, Sheetrit the Interior Minister said, cannot ignore the refugees' fate because of the history of the Jewish people. "Just as prime minister Menachem Begin acted to grant citizenship to refugees from Vietnam, the same ought to be done today," the minister said.

Meanwhile, Israel has stopped the intake of further refugees from the war supported by Israel, and they are currently set to deport over 1000 Christian refugees.

Gotta maintain the "desired demographic" afterall.

Can't have Apartheid without it!
