Tara Poem: A Call to Action

Oscarf Beard | 01.09.2007 19:55 | Culture | Ecology | London | World

A short video of a recorded poem by one Tara activist, a call to action in County Meath, Ireland, to halt the construction/destruction being caused by the new M3 motorway.

As has been well documented now, the ancient archaeologically-rich valley of Tara is being torn up so the tarmac can start running to create the new M3 motorway.

Bulldozers have already destroyed many of the ancient sites that date back 8,000 years.

International Cultural Conservationists have just returned from Tara with a wealth of video of their excursions into the world of non-violent direct action. This video is just a taster of a series of videos to come in the following days.
