Even Socrates knew that "An honest man will not last long in Politics" and the intervening millenia show nothing to disprove that. There might have been some merit in Politicians had they not executed the Incorruptible, but guillotined all the others.
The real rot comes from the Rich. They have the resources to create continuous corruption. If the Rich are destroyed then there would be a reduction in corruption. However all politicians are corrupt and not one has proposed a progressive tax on wealth sufficiently severe to stop the Rich lining the pockets of politicians who ensure that we live in a corrupt society.
Has anyone worked out the implications of abolishing money? What was that troublemaker they crucified on about?
