Nearly 4,000 Congolese nationals living in the UK illegally will soon be deported. This is the announcement recently made by the British Ambassador to the DRC, Andy Sparks. This was as a result of his meeting with the Congolese Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antipas Mbusa Nyamwuisi.

The British diplomat added that these immigrants will be flying with dignity in specially prepared flights by London.

It's been nearly a month since the Netherlands also announced the deportation of 177 Congolese nationals living in that country, information disclosed to Radio Okapi by the Dutch Deputy Head of Mission on 31 May.

For the Dutch government, this is a return with dignity in so far as most of these illegal immigrants voluntarily accepted to go back home.

Their stay became illegal due to their lack of papers. However, a financial assistance for reintegration in their home country will be provided: 100 Euros for minors, 500 Euros for adults and 1,000 Euros for families with more than 3 children.
