We recently celebrated our 7th birthday. This occasion also gave cause to discuss what is happening with our band: its great fun, at times very effective on marches and actions, a fantastic community.
But we need new members to keep it going,keep it growing.
so if you are interested please come to our practice at ramparts on wednesdays starting at 7.30. No instruments needed. No money involved. Come learn samba!
ramparts is on rampart st at whitechapel.
Also we are looking for a new practice place which is more central than ramparts. We used to practice in holloway and that was easier for people plus ramparts has a monthly cafe on wednesdays which breaks up our rythm. If anybody knows of a practice place which is free ( we can offer payment in kind by playing events etc) or very cheap, central, with a place to store our instruments and if possible a kitchen or place to make tea etc. Please contact us on our website:
