A clarification from Zachary Katznelson, one of the lawyers representing Guantanamo detainees about the military trials starting tomorrow:
"Just to clarify, no trials will be held tomorrow. Rather, hearings will begin for 14 men who were in secret CIA prisons to determine whether they are 'enemy combatants.' An enemy combatant is someone who was part of or supported Al Qaeda, the Taliban, or associated forces that engaged in hostilities against the US or its allies. A panel of three military officers will make the decision. There are no lawyers allowed and the hearings will be closed to the media. If someone is determined to be an enemy combatant, the US claims it can hold them for the rest of their lives, without charge or trial."
