STOP THE WAR COALITION NATIONAL DEMONSTRATION
2 DECEMBER 06 ~ RAF BRIZE NORTON
Coaches leaving from Central London 9.30am

Brize Norton is the most important British military base for maintaining the occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan. It is the main transport base for sending troops and supplies in and out of the occupied countries.

In August this year it was used by US planes taking munitions to the Israeli Defense Force to bomb Lebanon.

In 2005 there was a lively peace camp, and a march through the town of Carterton to the main gate of the RAF base. The demonstration was led by former soldiers. Although Carterton is a forces town, the march received a very friendly response from the local people. Our protest is not against the individual soldiers, but against the government that has sent them to occupy Iraq and Afghanistan.

We want to see the largest possible demonstration on 2nd December.
Our message is simple. Bring the British troops home from Iraq and Afghanistan.
Stop using British bases to support the occupations of those countries.
We want RAF Brize Norton to be used to bring all the troops home now.
