Protest on Day of the Dead
29.10.2006 13:58
Maybe it would be a good idea to use that as a form of protest to be held outside the Mexican Embassy. The 2nd is the more appropriate one (All Soul's Day and day of the dead children).
Apart from lots of sweets in skeleton form they build large altars in public spaces to commemorate certain people, families and events.

Demo Thursday 2nd!
29.10.2006 16:10
Some people from our collectives plan to hold a quickly organised demo at the embassy on this Thursday 2nd November (see above for why this date). We will have a banner, some leaflets and letters to give to the embassy demanding the recall of the Federal Preventive Police from Oaxaca and a peaceful resolution to the conflict where the peoples demands are all met and they maintain control of their state. More people would be VERY greatly appreciated since not many can make it at this short-notice, and remembrance of Brad Will and all other victims of the state would be VERY welcome.
By all means it would be symbolically good if the students march could converge on the embassy, but remember it will be closed at the weekend! Good luck with the autonomous block by the way.
Im not sure what time exactly we will be at the embassy Thursday, but please email if you are able to join us.
