and it's creativity can be most certainly beautiful and at least as powerful as a rose; which surely Gertrude Stein would confirm. The past weekend, 16/17th 2006 saw thousands of people all over the world pour onto streets armed with boxes of Chalk to redecorate the pavements.
The original "father of the idea" Brian organized an event at the London Eye on Saturday and the Embankment on Sunday. The happening saw many people young and old happily falling to their knees to engage in the beautiful past time occupation of illustrating the pavement with colourful thoughts.
Initial it always seemed to be the lil' once who mustered the courage and stepped up to the task. However eventually the all grown ups who remained young at heart followed suit. By the end of the weekend pedestrians were walking over a sea of flowers, butterflies and all sorts of colourful peace related messages and symbols.
