Anarchist and anti-authoritarian block - Sack Parliament

anti-authoritarians | 04.10.2006 19:35 | Anti-militarism | Globalisation | Social Struggles | London

Taking inspiration from others who are taking action on the day London Anti-Authoritarians are calling for an anarchist bloc. We stand against all war and oppression, and see both the domestic war against 'terror', and the international wars against Iraqis and Afghanis, as being led by this government with the support of the parliament.

Join the anti-authoriatarian block on Monday 9th October, 1pm, Parliament Square!

We see parliamentary democracy as part of a wider web of institutions built upon centuries of class domination. Parliament masks the capitalist reality which governs society. Whilst we are expected to behave as good citizens and vote for this or that political party every four years, the decisions over our lives are taken at board meetings, policy think tanks and international economic summits. Parliament and government implement these decisions on the national and international level.

As anarchists and anti-authoritarians we have rejected this notion and all notions of governance. Instead of being "natural", power is constructed along with its institutions to control and manage populations for the service of capital exploitation. To oppose governments is to oppose capital relations, to oppose governance is to recognise that the ability for a free life lies in the destruction of all systems of domination.

We stand with the exploited of no country, all those being brutalised beneath the bombs and bullets of the UK and US armies, and all who have fought and continue to fight by any means against the criminality of power.

Join us on October 9th. End this farce of power, and their destruction of lives across the globe.
