3 just arrested in London

Today Tony Blair was speaking at the "Progress" conference at 10:05 am, and was then going to be followed by Des Browne (Defence), Hilary Benn (DfID), Douglas Alexander (transport), Peter Hain (N Ireland) and Hazel Blears.

A handful of protestors with placards showed up to show their concern about the continued occupation and destruction of Iraq. Reports are just in that police singled out 3 people and arrested them. We are still currently unaware as to where they were taken or what the charges are for.

eye witness report

A handful of demonstrators arrived outside Congress House atfter 9 to see the war party faithful queing to get in. Baby Benn and Steven Twigg were amongst party infamous who were treated to individualised heckling. No FIT Team appeared and the police presence appeared quite low key

At about 10 some of the warmonger's acolytes appeared from inside the hall and were stage managed into position so that the protest would be invisible from the car. Lord Blair of Kut al-Amara arrived at about 10.20 and as his car drove up, some of the demonstrators attempted to dismantle the pen and more police came running across the road to support the handful of coppers standing in front of the barricades. 3 of the demonstrators were arrested, one was restrained on the pavement, one in a door way and the other was simply nabbed as he watched. It is believed that they were taken to Kentish Town Police station, though this has yet to be confirmed.

Blair stepped out of the car to applause from the strategically placed acolytes and went into Congress House, emerging an hour later. As his speech was scheduled to take 50 minutes, it can safely be assumed that no time was given to allow the war party members to embarress him with questions. On leaving he was booed by a number of tourists who had joined the depleted demonstrators behind the pen. Once again the acolytes were strategically placed to block out the demo. Once again they clapped the war criminal.

There appeared to be no precautions against terror attacks, and traffic flowed freely down the street - demonstrating that the current terrorism threat level (Severe) is nothing but a propaganda device.

Lord Blair of Kut al-Amara is due to travel to the Middle East in the very near future, and has been warned by Palestinians that he is not welcome to wash his bloody hands in Palestinian water.

And they clapped and they clapped...

So Mr Blair, what have you done today in the continuing 'fight against terrorism', your mantra to justify the illegal entry in to Iraq, your government's actions in Afghanistan, and your standing by whilst hundreds of innocent Palestinias have been killed by Israeli millitary agression?

The answer, as ever, is nothing. You chose to attend a meeting at the TUC Congress Hall where Labour Party members had paid up to £20 for the 'privilege' of hearing you speak. And where you could enter and leave a building to the closely choreographed and staged clapping of witless and gutless acolytes, who slavishly continue to allow you to bask in the sun of your own illusions and lies. And where, instead of attending to answering the many questions posed by your government's foreign policy, you huff and puff in an entirely meaningless theatrical display, all the while espousing a free leadership election contest.

Your 'war on terror' resulted in three activists being arrested and detained (currently at Kentish Town Police Station), one of whom for doing little more than standing by and observing what was happening.

And your acolytes clapped outside in an attempt to drown out the questions being shouted at you, as the public space is the only area where real questions can be asked of you, as Parliament sleeps redundant.

So Mr Blair, what did you do today to justify your non-existant war on terror today?

arrestees out on bail

10.09.2006 19:06

The three arrested were finally released from Kentish Town police station at around 10:30pm on Saturday night, having been interviewed by CID and bailed (without charge) to return to the station in a couple of weeks.

They were accused of having "run at the barriers, picked them up and thrown them at the police, several of whom fell to the ground as a result", as anyone who has experience with crowd barriers or has just glanced at the Sky captures will know this is obviously bollocks.

Sky News had dutifully supplied the police with their tapes but not in a format the pigs could play. Possible CCTV footage also had yet to be obtained.
