BBC Today Gets Undocumented Migrant Arrested

One of NoBorders | 19.08.2006 16:41 | Anti-racism | Migration | Birmingham | London

There was an outrageous piece on the BBC Radio 4's Today programme the other day exposing the 'scandal' of the Home Office not arresting and deporting undocumented workers. As part of the report, BBC reporter John Minel entraped a worker into talking about his immigration status, and then betrayed him to the Home Office, leading to the man's arrest and imprisonment.

Last June, News of the World reporter Mazher Mahmood and colleagues entrapped 66 undocumented workers and 'delivered' them to Colnbrook Immigration Removal Center.

The Radio 4 Any Questions and Any Answers on Saturday 19 Aug 2006 aided racists

19.08.2006 17:23

Presenter Nick Clarke encouraged callers who invoked the racist aspects of Winston Churchill or said similarly intolerant things against groups of innocent people who found themselves in states of migration.

The BBC is not what it sued to be, even a year ago. It is now competing with the racist tabloids, both Murdoch and Daily Mail and with the ever more openly racist Guardian.

This can lead to big tragedies for society and for freedom.

Polly Toynbee seems to be working the same plot with the Daily Mail and the SUN in her main demand for tougher attitudes towards Muslims and for even more congratulations for the official British slave Trevor Phillips at the Commission for Racist Enslavement [CRE].

What mainstream media is now cataloging this crazy destruction of all the ‘values’ that we thought we had fought for in the past 60 years?

'Any Questions?' Propagates More Racism

19.08.2006 18:09

In the same programme, Joan Bakewell claimed, without correction by Nick Clarke in the chair or other panellists, that racial profiling made sense because it was indisputable that all British suicide bombers have been of Pakistani descent.

I don't think that, even if this were true, racial profiling in the treatment of citizens would be justified.

However, I e-mailed the programme before 'Any Answers?', pointing out the factual flaw in her argument: neither Jermaine Lindsay nor Richard Reid were of Pakistani descent. 'Any Answers?' neither used my e-mail nor issued a correction to Joan Bakewell's claim.

Another Beeb gripe: Have you noticed that even on Radio 4 News, "dispute" has become "row"? Is such a loss of meaning really justified in order to avoid a disyllabic word?

What dreadful news

the BBC is biased towards a racist establishment agenda.

How can I go on now that I am burdened with this awful knowledge-

my whole world is turned upside down..

what will I do to replace the beebs warm gentle voice in my ear that has till now supported my middle class self satisfaction for so long...sob.

This must surely be the birth of a new revolutionary conciousness... we can rise brothers and sisters and throw off the archers omnibus edition... we have nothing to lose but gardeners question time... I fell a great surge of militant energy...o...o..o...aaarhhh.

I think I need to lie down

WTF??

In that case u should call for all the fucking British companies to get the fuck out of Africa and stop stealing their wealth. Maybe then these people wont need to come to your shitty country and work there. The only people to have ever forced anyone out of a job are the Capitalists. They could easily employ more workers to work 8 hr shifts which would mean more families fed and theyd still make a profit. But coz the fuckers arent satisfied with just a profit, they fire any1 getting more than minimum wage, hire half the people needed 4 the job (usually from desperate backgrounds) and work them twice as much paying them much less. Youre targeting the wrong set of people. As long as theres Capitalism, the Capitalists will try to divide the working class so that they see themselves as the 'decent' hard working brit whose job security is threatened by the 'thieving' immigrant. And as long as theyre successful at that then they have no reason to fear the working class as a revolutionary force whichl one day stop their crimes.

How long?

20.08.2006 21:51

As long as people repeat what ever government propaganda they hear ; as long as they listen to the gutter press - or the BBC in this case, instead of educating themselves and thinking with thier own brains: they will be brain washed idiots and we'll be all in deep shit.
Divide et impera - the idiot above who is happy to see a poor man depored probably does not know his Latin : it means ' divide and rule'. History repeats itself without idiots learning a fucking thing.

Mate, you need to get a grip. The very fact that migrant workers are forced to work illegally is exactly what keeps your wages down and your working conditions crap. Immigration controls don't stop immigration- they just ensure that migrant workers' conditions are precarious, driving conditions down for ALL of us.

Employment rights are human rights. No one is illegal.

No one is illegal
