Help - Developers on the rampage

Mick Mack | 05.05.2006 17:37 | Health | Repression | Social Struggles | London | South Coast

Not a article a ssuch, more a plea for help to support individual under the cosh from developers in the East End vis-a-vis "The Olympics".

My mate Ron who is the only resident of Fish Island in Newham - except they say his property isn't in their Borough; also Tower Hamlets and Hackney are saying the same - is being cajoled from various agencies to leave his property so that developers can move in. Anybody got any legal suggestions that Ron might try. He's 75 years of age and is happy where he is and is very gutsy and prepared to fight. Anybody with any suggestions please mail me asap at  mickmack@hotmail.co.uk. Cheers for any help.

I picked up a flyer at the Mayday event, threw it away 'cos it wasn't applicable to me but have rescued it...

www.nosweat.org.uk have an event, "London and the Olympics: how to deal with global contractors", speaker Mick Rix (GMB).
7.30 Monday June 19
The Plough (sounds like you can get a drink at least)
27 Museum Street, WC(2?)

More info: Karen 07906 384592

Might be a good rallying point for anyone getting fucked over by the Olympic conmen...
