Dalston Theatre - meeting tonight (friday19th) 7.30pm !Need support!

Alan | 17.03.2006 18:10 | London

Feedback and organising solidarity with the Dalston Theatre occupation to halt further Hackney selloffs.

A group is occupying the Dalston Theatre 4-14 Dalston Lane
to protest the planned demolition. The council hopes to sell
the site to developers to make way for high rise development
of unaffordably expensive flats and shops. The group were
given an eviction order at court on Monday 13th March and
are now waiting for the Sheriffs to come: there's a meeting
tonight if you can make it: Friday 17th March 2006, 7.30pm
at the Trinity Centre, Beechwood Road, Dalson E8 to hear
feedback from different groups involved and to plan together
the ongoing resistance of the eviction, and to discuss future
plans. The group needs help to make the preservation of this
very valuable space a reality.
