*The revolt against the CPE in France: For one struggle against capitalism!*
Date: Saturday 18th March
Time: 2pm - 5pm
Venue: Conway Hall, Red Lion Square, London (Nearest tube: Holborn)
Due to the struggles in France against the CPE the title of this forum has been changed to take into account these significant events, which are part of the international development of workers' struggles and the proletariat's attempts to rediscover its class solidarity.
There has been a heavy media blackout of the struggles within France and internationally so this meeting will be an important moment in putting forward the reality of the situation. The presentation will be given by one of our comrades who has recently returned from Paris with first-hand accounts of the struggles and the ICC's interventions towards them. What coverage there has been on the 'alternative' media (Libcom, Indymedia, Urban75 etc.) - has tended to be limited to 'reportage', to gathering the facts, and a reticence towards any discussion of the political significance of the struggles. This is in total contrast to the movement itself, where there is a great passion to discuss the political aspects, where there is an openness to political organisation.
So, we urge all those who are keen to find out more about the situation, and to debate the experiences and perspectives, to come along to this meeting and join the comrades from the rest of the UK.
