Due to Lambeth council evicting local business's Communitty Technology are having to downsize their recycled stock.
"We're outta here" COMPUTER-TAT Sale.
10.30am-6pm 25th and 26th Feb 2006
Angela Davis Estate, Somerleyton Road, SW9 8ND
(7 minute walk from Brixton tube)

Com-Tech have been operating in the Brixton area for over 10 years, recycling computers and providing local people with access to low-cost equipment. Unfortunately Com-Tech and other local businesses employing dozens of local people are being EVICTED to make room for an as yet unnamed 'development' by Lambeth Council. This means that we have to close our long running computer recycling project.

One of the Com-Tech people says: "Some wholesale buyers who do export are coming in to take what we have left, but I would prefer to re-use the equipment locally and for cause. Its all had a lot of work put into it, would be a pity to waste that on furthering global capitalism."

We have a warehouse full of kit that was good enough for to be the "latest" in 2001, 2,3,,4,5 and it all has got to go!

more evictions

25.02.2006 23:28

More evictions by corrupt lambeth council after making 150 stagnesplace parasites homeless for xmas / new year and then gatekeeping a already bloated housing waiting list. One can only assume that this is to make way from the new school as they sold all the other perfectly good schools off in lambeth to greed property developers like Belway. If this place goes for yuppie flats then this will inevitably mean that the councilors of corruption plan to relocate there consituants kids skool on the toxic cleanaway site and relocate the dump to Herne Hill at the cost of more local jobs. Thank goodness Disgraced Lib Dem housing boss Cllr Keith Fitchett has been forced out over a massive fraud scandal, we as council tax paying residents sincerely hope he is put under a through criminal investigation over the missing millions of pounds of housing repair money he so carelessly sign away.
