"Freedom to Protest" conference, London - any feedback?

reader | 26.10.2005 15:11 | Repression | London

On Oct 23, the day after the anarchist bookfair, a "freedom to protest" conference took place in the same venue. Did anybody go? How was it? Any insights, feedback?

Here is the program:

It went well

Hi
It went pretty well with the place being packed and people saying that they found it really useful and interesting. A huge range of groups and movements were represented and in the brief time availble there was a lot of material covered. All in all we are happy with how it all went, but after the effort that went into organising it, please give us a chance to get the feedback together ;)

There is definitely a growing movement in the country to protect our basic civil rights, and many groups are mentioning the 'right to protest' and 'freedom to protest' on their literature/demos already. Lets keep spreading it.

Cheers

Max
