Lomdon is shit

Picture the scene. I'm standing on a huge overpass with cars and lorries flying past at tremendous speed, spewing toxic filth in to the already filthy air. In the near distance is a huge pile of rotting debris that is being incinerated at a frantic pace as more lorries arrive carrying more stinking rubbish.
Behind this festering mound is another festering mound only this one cost us in excess of two million pounds. The millenium dome imposes itself on the skyline like a zit on the face of an already self concious teenager. This massive blip serves only to remind us that our government is more than willing to squander our money on frivalous follies rather than tackle real problems. The emptiness of the gesture matched only by the contents of the dome.
In the distance stand the real vestigaes of power. Several huge glass skyscapers emblazened with corporate logos. These buildings truely dominate the landscape as those within them dominate our lives. the intimidating structures watch over London like military watch towers on the west bank, they scream power and authority, for them the perfect image.
I turn to look behind me and see four grey, austier warships sporting national flags. I turn away again quickly. Take me home.

Immigrate to America

Here is my advice...save up the equivalent of $2'000-$3'000 us dollars, buy an airplane ticket.... fly to New York City, rent a room in an apartment for 400 hundred dollars a month in New Jersey, take a job "under the table" in New York City, save up some money and start a new life in America. After you have saved up enough money, then buy a car and move to Los Angeles and spend all day surfing.

Yes London (and the UK) suck but must show the world that our alternative, autonomous, fair, anti-capitalist utopia works, is fun, and is better than their greedy misery.

There is that. But also: beautiful parks, the Southbank, art galleries, and a thousand different cultures. And then there's the live music, and the funky pubs. And Brixton. And although not to everyone tastes, all things are here. There are even a few anarchists. Or so I have heard.

Despite how real your world-view feels it does not actually exist, and because it does not actually exist it would be daft to blame it for how you feel. We are not victims of some solid, objective reality. And we are free to make our own future. Which is not a priviledge afforded to a lot of people in the world, so make the most of it.

It's all in how you look at it. And how you look at it is up to you.

And if you can't look at it like that you could always just move.
