Timeline of Events from the first day of the DSEi arms fair, covering CAAT's demonstration and the Diaper Bloc [Flyer pdf].
17:00 CAAT Counter conference has restarted - running til 9pm at Toynbee Hall, 28 Commercial Road, E1.
16:00 Most people have left from outside the east end of the Excel centre, where the samba drummers have been playing and people dancing after the CAAT march speeches.
[approx 15:00] Rinky Dink Soundsystem is blocked into the convergence centre by FIT and a police van for 30 mins.
[14:55] Main march now stationary near Excel listening to speeches from local groups.
[14:50] Clandestine Insurgent Rebel Clown Army are around St James as part of a tour visiting DSEi companies, and have been warned to stay away from Parliament Square or face arrest.
[14:02] CAAT march has just passed Gallions Reach roundabout and entered Royal Albert Way. There are an estimated 400 people on the march, banners from a number of local groups and music from a samba band.
[13.38] The CAAT march is reported to be half way along the permitted route (just past the A13). Unconfirmed reports are coming in that an eastbound DLR (Docklands Light Railway) train was delayed for 15 - 20 minutes by an action. Police vehicles are still seen to be moving towards the west end of Excel Centre.
[13:15] At least one arrest (a cyclist) reported. British Transport Police Live Incident Unit seen heading to west end of Excel Centre. Most of the children from the Diaper Bloc have now left the 'designated protest zone'.
[13:08] Diaper Bloc tried to move off but Station Manager refused to allow them to travel on trains as a group. Ongoing negotiations as they have travel cards.
[12:55] Children in the Diaper Bloc have now donned police helmets and riot shields, and imposed a S60 on adults in the Designated Protest Zone. A large convoy of police vans was seen heading towards the west end of the Excel Centre.

[12.02] The Diaper Bloc has now moved to the "designated protest zone", on the corner of Victoria Dock Road and Freemasons Road. Police have barricaded the pedestrian crossing. Someone is playing an accordian
[11.24] The Diaper Bloc stayed on the stairs for 20 minutes whilst a mother was feeding her baby. The group is now on the Custom House DLR station bridge. There have been indiscriminate stop and searches.
[11.04] - The group arrived at Custom House DLR and some children staged a sit down protest at the top of the stairs. Station manager informed group that they were tresspassing
[10:33] - A group of between 25 - 30 people have left the Convergence Centre and are at Blackwall DLR en route to the Diaper Bloc. Three policeman are with them, one is taking copious notes.
