Pledging to Contact Kate Hoey

Resident of Stockwell | 08.08.2005 13:24 | London

"I will contact Kate Hoey, MP for Vauxhall, asking why she has time to become chairman of the Countryside Alliance when she only attended 55% of votes as our Member of Parliament. but only if 10 other Lambeth residents will too."

11 signers so far...

The tenth signer has just pledged to contact Kate Hoey[1]. She's the woman who supposedly represents Lambeth, but spends most of her time fighting for the right to go fox-hunting.

She's the woman who: on the same day as a young Brazilian man was shot dead in her constituence, she bacame chairman of the countryside alliance.

She's the woman who: has turned up to at most 55% of the votes in parliament. Why does she continually fail to represent us?

Why is she not paying attention to her constituents? We must oust her! We must fight for social justice on all fronts including parliamentary. The fact that many indymedia readers are anarchists, and therefore don't recognise their MP as having authority, does not stop that MP from having power over them.

Dear reader, who is your MP? What is s/he doing right now? Maybe you could start your own pledge and get something done in your own local area?

Signed,

Stockwell resident.
