On Saturday the roving Burberry convention that is the National Front tried (unsurprisingly) to drum up some cheap publicity for themselves at the expense of the London bombing victims. The ‘Anti Islam’ march achieved absolutely nothing other than confirm their status as the saddest bunch of fuckwits on the far right.

NF marches are not exactly a vibrant affair these days. Back in the 70’s and early 80’s a National Front march would stretch from Parliament square to Victoria station with up to 8,000 members and supporters accompanied by 3 or 4 drumming bands. The hundred or so Nazis that shuffled from Victoria to Embankment today were barely noticeable aside from the 2-300 cops that accompanied them. Led by brain-dead ‘Activities Organiser’ Terry Blackham the master race were neither loud nor intimidating with Muslims on the route of the march laughing at their pitiful anti Islam slogans and passing tourists stopping to take their photo in front of the march.

One thing that is encouraging is the NF’s total failure to grow or make any capital out of the recent events in London whatsoever. This demo was no bigger than the last Remembrance Day embarrassment. There were no representatives of Britain’s other far right groups (they all hate each other, thank fuck!) nor was there any new faces. The demo was largely made up of the same 80 losers that restarted the marching strategy back in Dover in the late nineties. Most pathetic of all was the chanting; ‘Rule Britannia’ would reach its first chorus before petering out into the silence that dominated most of the demo. ‘No Surrender to the IRA’ was louder and aptly demonstrated their intelligence as the provos have been on ceasefire for ages and have nothing in common with the suicide bombers at all. The master race must however be congratulated on what has to be the most lacklustre and tuneless rendition of ‘God Save the Queen’ that I have ever heard. Republicans everywhere should encourage this kind of patriotism as it can only further their cause.

The best laugh of the day was however reserved for the beginning before they had even started. While assembling, the gathered Nazis had their spirits roused by a tooting horn from a passing car. Hurray! They all cheered only to turn round and see a black motorist extending his middle finger from a passing car. Even the cops laughed.

Take the flags away from those people. They use our flag for hate. To be British does not depend on your religion or colour, only what is in your heart.It is not wrong to be patriotic, it is not racist to be patriotic it is not partisan to be patriotic indeed anyone, Communist, Socialist, Nationalist, Muslim, Christian can be patriots. We have to stand together, no, not have, there is no option! Can we do that? I'll bet we can!

So we should all be patriotic in the nicest possible way, should we?

A major aim of socialism, communism, anarchism (whatever you want to call it) is not to love the country, nation, mother/fatherland, but to completely do away with all that nationalist crap and promote INTERNATIONALISM.

The working class has no country - it belongs to the boss class. So what's there to love about that?

The working class person from Britain has loads more in common with the working class person from Japan or Argentina than they do with some millionaire from London or Birmingham.

Patriotism and nationalism - even in their milder forms - are a tool of oppression against the working class - there to divide and rule us workers, a con trick to make us feel as if we're on the same team as our oppressors, the rich and powerful.

Wise up, we're not.

They may tell us we're all in the same boat, but it's the working class that has to do all the rowing while the boss beats the drum.

Divide all nations! Workers unite agains the bosses at home and abroad! Smash patriotism.

And yes, the fascists are generally uckly fuckers.

Your pics of the NF are great, Glad you show the good side of Terry, it hurts you, it hurts you so much you want to be like him, The only thing that stops you is belief, and your belief is contaminated by stories of the Left, to the point that you can’t function without reference books, dates times links association, now you have become the literature, you can’t reason or think outside, you just seethe within, and you could have been a person.
