A good day all round...

The public were mainly supportive, and everywhere I came across the ride there were cheers, whistles and general good humour.

Yes, there were a couple of crap cab drivers, but what's new?

And even the police were amenable (!) taking a petition from the cyclists to present to the US Embassy (unlike the heavy policing of the 2nd anti war demo).

FIT teams were there of course! Bet they've had no trouble finding volunteers down the nick to match the bums to the faces!

This is what freedom is, why should we all have to wear clothes if they are not needed?
I will be doing this ride next year, today I am walking in the country in just my shoes!!

The Oxford Street moment

14.06.2005 17:35

This is the moment when the ride entered Oxford Street, 3 people deep with onlookers all the way along. Like being in a dream/nightmare.
