March in support of Zanon on International Womens' Day
March in support of Zanon on International Womens' Day

The workers and workers of the ex- Zanón, now FasinPat (Factory Without Patterns), have again been attacked. Julieta, the wife of the worker of Zanón that already had been attacked in March [see  http://www.indymedia.org.uk/en/regions/world/2005/03/306564.html ], was assaulted again. A stranger burst in into her home while she was alone, striking her wildly. The woman had to be transferred to the hospital.

This week there will be solidarity actions against this cowardly aggression. In an official notice, the Ceramics-workers Union stated "the modus operandi of the attacks is always the same one. The denunciation has already been in General Fiscalia but, once again, we say that we did not trust the investigations that try to transform the victims into victimarios (victimizers?)". In the last two months there has been a tense climate due to the series of unpunished attacks and threats against fighters for popular control in the province of Neuquén.

In another paragraph of the official notice, the ceramics workers said that "the sectors of the power that encourage and carry out these cowardly attacks do not stop, demonstrating a high level of impunity to act" and add that "Governor Sobisch and his Minister Manganaro are silent accomplices to this escalating [series of actions and threats?]".
