Campaigners today launched a boycott of Caterpillar clothing products in light of the company's complicity in human rights abuses in Palestine. Caterpillar supplies the Israeli military with bulldozers in the certain knowledge that they are used to destroy Palestinian farms, orchards and housing.

Cindy Corrie, mother of Rachel Corrie - killed by a Caterpillar D9 bulldozer whilst protesting against house demolitions in Gaza - handed copies of "Caterpillar - The Alternative Company Report" to representatives of John Lewis and Clarks on Oxford Street, both major stockists of Caterpillar clothing.

It was timed to coincide with the firm's AGM in Chicago, where Caterpillar Corporation shareholders will vote on a groundbreaking resolution calling on CAT to investigate whether its sale of bulldozers to Israel violates its own Worldwide Code of Business Conduct.
