A press release obtained by our overcover team of rapporteurs learns of the Government's next shocking move to tackle any remaining unproductive sectors of society... Meet: 12.00 @ Department of Trade & Industry, Victoria Street, London SW1 O St James Park, Thursday 10 March 2005

ACTION THURSDAY: Government launches New Deal for the Dead!!!

New Deal is a key part of the Government's strategy to get people back to work. The final part of our programme is now ready for its launch. If you have been deceased longer than 6 months we can now offer the opportunity to return to work. No more idleness and no more excuses. No more cemeteries taking up prime property development land.

Amused to read about the New Deal for the Dead! It reminds me
of a little number I used to perform during the early 1980s:

DEADicated to the millions

especially any school-leavers:

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO BE
WHEN YOU GROW UP?

(NEW HOPE FOR THE UNEMPLOYED)

see that advert of a vacancy

for time-served corpses in a cemetry

what a way to make a living

sounds dead boring

nonetheless it's reassuring

that though the economic state's so grave

there are still some openings in the ground

PS I'm still unemployed! But am putting off dying just in case...

In a week when the British government is trying to abolish the most basic right we have - to a trial before the state can punish you - why are you making things up?

Sometimes anarchists seem to be in a world of their own, with no interest in actually getting people involved in stuff. It's like a sect within a ghetto within a subculture and the pathetic british left get away with running everything because no one wants to be 'hierarchical'. Tragic.

yeah yeah

wtf??

How can they be trying to make dead people work? I'd like to see them try. Am I missing something here or what, because to me that just sounds completely impossible. Is this for real or what? I hope they're not going to be digging people up - how gruesome that would be! The dead ought to be left in peace!

So is just people who died before retirement age or what?

I do think dead people would make ideal election monitors for all those outbreaks of democracy taking place all over the USA's geo-political arena.
