London Indymedia

Bush in London this weekend?????

rikki | 17.02.2005 22:34 | Indymedia | London

any other confirmation or rubbishing of this?

there is undoubtedly some level of secrecy around whether and when george bush might be visiting blair again. normally, top journalists get wind of stuff like this but are relied on to keep it quiet (this is how you get to be a top journalist, someone the establishment can trust on such issues). anyway, tonight, i am fairly sure i heard jon snow in the c4 news correct himself after apparently letting it slip that bush would be visitng this weekend. he said london, and then changed it to europe. was he trying to tell us something?

apologies if i got the wrong end of the stick and am cluttering up indymedia with rubbish, but any back-up or convincing explanations of why this can't be true gratefully accepted.

re UK there's been nothing since the speculation at the end of the last year... so that's interesting re Ch4... though the visit will be nothing like the state visit madness of last time.

After last time...

18.02.2005 00:28

I would be suprised if Bush *doesn't* visit his close mate Blair when he is in Europe and of coures they are going to keep it secret till the last miniute after the huge demo last time... ;-)

What is a freaky about this is that this is how politicans visit war zones like Iraq -- in total secreacy, fly in at the last moment, only press oppertunities for the embedded loyal boot licking journos...

Blaargh....

cynic

thought it was after he'd been to belgium

18.02.2005 02:58

word was that it would be after 22nd Feb in brussels, then to the uk - but hey, it could just as easily be just before.

you're right though - compared to belgium this is uber secret if it happens.

ha ha haaaa!!!

??

Bush in Indymedia.

That Bush is, has been or will be in London is irrelevant. He has many more friends
here than obvious at first sight. He is expected to pay a secret visit to Indymedia,
for instance, where he supposedly has a few friends as well in the editorial section. Indymedia has had already some indications of what to censor and why, and gladly goes along, unless this is by telepathic affintiy. He does not need friends necessarily. As long as you are stupid, you are useful, also as an enemy, so called. Somehow he seems to have a lot of friends in that way. For there are many stupid people. What is also always useful is bias. Keep resisting. And don't believe in fables.
