MOTHER AND DAUGHTER LAUNCH 'LIFE BEFORE DEATH' FILM TOUR
A Welsh filmmaker and her Mother have launched a project to persuade people to explore their attitude to death. Featured in today’s South Wales Evening Post, the family team plan to screen their short film and discuss terminal illness. Julie Lee and her daughter Helen iles from Swansea released their film via award winning charity, Undercurrents.
The film explores various faith as Helen is a practicing Buddhist while her mother is both a Christian and director of a funeral home.
The Evening Post features Julie Lee as ‘a uniquely courageous woman’ to talk publicly about her own bone cancer in the hope of helping others. Life Before Death film is described as ‘a beautiful and moving film which may make you re-examine your attitude to life as well as to death’.
Helen iles works with award winning charity undercurrents in Swansea which host annual film festivals and offers media training to marginalised communities. The vibrant film maker has asked for public support
