Protest Marks and Spencers links with Israel.
Activists from Boycott Israeli Goods (BIG) and Boycott Marks and
Spencer were scheduled to meet with the "Corporate Responsibility
Division" of M&S on Thursday afternoon, to discuss what links M&S has
with Israel, and what settlement goods they trade in. Today M&S
cancelled the meeting "due to Christmas", which was almost certainly
on the calender when they made the appointment !!!!!
Whilst M&S may think that the matter can wait, for many Palestinians
there is no time for delay, every day more of the wall is completed,
more people are imprisoned, more olive trees uprooted and more homes
destroyed.
We invite concerned people to join us for an afternoon and evening of
protest at Marks and Spencers ongoing links with the state of Israel.
The actions will start outside M&S HQ, 35 North Wharf Rd. London W2
1NW at 4pm - bring banners, things to make a noise, and a sense of
humour!!!
>From HQ we will be moving on to the Millenium Hotel, Grosvenor
Square, where M&S CEO Stuart Rose is due to address the Annual Dinner
of the British-Israel Chamber of Commerce - at a reception and dinner
which starts at 7pm.

Well done, people!

On the protest yesterday, the people kept up a continual barrage of chanting, drumming, horns and passionate speeches all the time we were outside the hotel. Hopefully the disgusting vultures inside heard our voices all the time they were eating. They would have needed very good sound-proof windows to block out the noise, as a couple of demonstrators who joined in halfway through told me they could hear us streets away! Anyway, we obviously pissed the diners off because some of the poshly-dressed supporters of Israeli terror responded to our chanting by making 'fuck you' gestures etc as they walked into the hotel.
We should keep our eyes and ears open for news of similar events hosted by supporters of Israel (not only M&S but Caterpillar etc) and keep each other informed. Nobody who supports the disgusting racist state of Israel should be allowed to stuff themselves and party without facing the music from us!
