A global network of Islamic sleeper cells threatening Western interests is a fantasy invented by neo-conservatives, who created a similar scenario during Reagan’s administration, with the Soviets as the imagined enemy.
The UK is not under threat from a so-called ‘dirty bomb’ which intelligence sources claim is imminent, even so, it would cause minimal damage with little fall-out. The biggest danger would be the ensuing panic.
So, why have UK citizens been stripped of their civil rights if the adversary is fabricated and shouldn’t the inmates of Camp X-Ray and Belmarsh Prison, detained for bogus reasons, be released?
As the BBC has exposed this humungous lie, then it beggar’s the question; who is planting bombs on public transport and targeting security forces in Iraq and elsewhere, if it isn’t the non-existent al Qaida?
It can only be those who promoted this false idea and therefore, are the REAL terrorists, the ones who are wielding the reigns of power which they are using to crush dissent against their authority.

It could have joined a few more dots though - little on how the corporations profit and also on the changes in the law ( anti-terrorist/ASBOs/public order/criminal justice regarding the war on the citizens ( sic ) of this state. How Iraq ( amongst other places ) is bled dry from corporates from Haliburtion to ToysRUs. Nor was there mention of the profits made by the arms trade or the trade in diamonds and arms etc. that fuel war in western african continent for instance. Absolutely no mention of the IMF and 'poverty reduction ( sic ).'Religous fanaticism' was the main focus. Its economic base ( the rich of the 'east' and 'west' (Orientalism ))should have been further explored as should have been the repressive and economic conditions for the 'foot soldiers' whether suicide bombers or paid soldiers/mercanaries/security etc. etc.
Irony for the programme to have been shown on the BBC with it's history of flag waving and its 'intersting agenda'. Though it can be seen to be buried under the weight of other nes programmes/media. After all, I would not call its news agenda particularly balanced and as for the Hutton enquiry....Orwell springs to mind. Double plus good eh?
