tonight around 9ish, anti-capitalist friday film night at the occupied social centre, tufnell park, will be showing michael moore's new doc, FAHRENHEIT 9-11.

bring beer, eat food, make friends, drink the best coffee in north london at the cafe rebelde zapatista - all at the occupied social centre, corner of fortess rd & brecknock rd, directly opposite tufnell park tube.n

Is the showing on the 4th at the rampart still going ahead? I can't make tufnell park tonight unfortunately. If it isn't I would like to know asap if poss, thanks.

Beaten to it by our friends up north. but yes, we will still screen the film at rampart on sunday and we are also screening a number of other films in a glorious 4th july indenpendence day special. with 'the end of suburbia' and various amusing shorts.

so, please do come along and put some energy into one of londons other social centres

Do I detect some kind of inter-social centre competition? I thought this 'movement' was meant to be about mutual aid and suport, not competative game playing.

There's no competition

No I don't think there is an inter-social centre competition : )
For a start it is a different part of London which means there will be a differnet local crowd and also it makes a change for those of us who have spent half of the last few years on buses to Hackney or the 253 to Whitechapel!

Secondly, Friday night at the Tufnell Park centre is a film night anyway and this film had been planned to be shown as soon as a copy had been got hold of.

Also a few groups and individuals are trying to get archives together on DVD (including transfer from VHS ) so that duplications of activist films can be shown so that everyone gets the chance to se them at different social centres etc.

Myself, I am looking forward to visiting the Ramparts soon and helping out if I can.

We are trying to find this documentary in vhs,
to show it next saturday (9)...

I would like to know how did you show it,
have you made the download from the net?
Have you used a dvd player?
How have you done that?

Hope someone can help us...
