Free the Oxford Two

Week of Action, Monday 7th June - Saturday 12th June
SPEAK Campaigns are calling for a week of action against the ongoing plans by Oxford University and those collaborating with it to build a new centre of animal suffering and death on South Parks Rd.

SPEAK is also demanding that the 'Oxford Two' be released into the care of an animal sanctuary that has already indicated it will take the two individuals and provide them with all the appropriate care and resettlement they require. (posted 20 May 2004) Read more...

Make Action Now

25.05.2004 14:12

Well as before there is no time for this action :o/ WTF, why bother?
The first floor is going on the building now and still there is no action being taken and what action there is is craply organised and doomed to fail. HELLO ARE YOU LISTENING?

This is the ideal kind of protest for South Parks road vivisection lab. It is VERY effective. There is always lots of traffic and a pelican crossing in the perfect spot. So far protests there have been rather ineffective but this could change all that.

1) You need at least 20 (40 would be great) people for solidarity and a good party. Make sure everyone knows well in advance to be ready. Wait for a fine spell in the weather and go for it a few days later.
2) Musical instruments and banners so that people can see why your doing it while you have a good sit down and chat/play. Bring food and drink too. Be ready for a couple of hours of hang time.
3) Before hand let the emergency services know what you are going to do so they can divert thier traffic.
4) Also let the press know before hand.
5) Don't do 5pm rush hour! People will get very upset when trying to get home.
6) High noon is a good time any day.
7) If you want to be really on the case get some legal study students to act as wittnesses in case of any Police brutality.
8) When the cops come be very polite and explain that you cannot move on priciple.
9) When they pick you up DO NOT RESIST you have made your point. Some of you may wish to attach yourselves.
10) Have people giving flyers to the drivers and passers by who will be curious about the hold up.

SORT IT OUT NOW OR WATCH THEM BUILD IT AND TORTURE MONKEYS INSIDE. THE CHOICE IS YOURS.

THE HEATS ON RMC
Posted by: Anonymous on Monday, May 24, 2004 - 11:43 GMT

"On the evening of Fri 21st May members of the ALF paid a visit to RMC in Weeford, Sutton Coldfield. RMC are collaborators in the project to build the new animal torture lab in Oxford.
11 large building supply lorries were put beyond use a total of 88 tyres slashed, brake and hydraulic lines cut, sand and gravel puored into fuel tanks. Next a concentrated attack on the loading conveyer belt left it destroyed. All power lines cut and the large belt and pulleys all wrecked. Then it was over to the cement hopper once again activists wasted no time in smashing the control panel and all power cables.
To end the nights work the activists forced their way into the site office and set to work on the computers. In a finale to a successful operation every piece of equipment was totally smashed rendering the site unworkable.
The ALF wants to make it clear to RMC, if you persist in the construction of this animal torture centre then we will wage an unending war against you."

COLLABORATORS HIT AGAIN

"In the early hours of 26th May an ALF unit drove north to the outskirts of Nottingham to attack an RMC depot/quarry. RMC must have been expecting them as they had generously left the main gates open!

Entering the site, one group slashed the tyres on 9 vehicles, whilst another penetrated further into
the site slashing the tyres on an additional 4 vehicles, cutting essential cables on diggers and transport vehicles, breaking windscreens and in a final act of vengeance cutting the ropes securing 3 large gravel-transport barges, the
barges were then pushed into the middle of the lake!

RCM, terminate you involvement in the construction of the Oxford animal mutilation centre, not next month, not next week, but now! If not things will only get worse for you... much worse!

Until all are free
ALF"

Make Sat 24th July Count

15.07.2004 22:36

I just come across this and think its great to be saying stuff to like
minded people.I hope that everyone can make it for this big day.
Its scary looking on the Speak website and seeing it progressing. We stopped
Cambridge and im sure as hell know we will stop these labs too.
We have to make our voices heard and let the animal abusers know we will not
let them win.
As always for the animals.
