Reverend Billy, founder of the Church of Stop Shopping, will speak to students tomorrow about street theater and activism. The hosting institution, Penn State University, will stream out the lecture to the Internet. Reverend Billy and the Stop Shopping Gospel Choir will perform at London's Conway Hall June 9th, presented by the Ecologist magazine.

The swank Audio/Visual team at Penn State will stream out Reverend Billy's lecture tomorrow (Tuesday March 30), and archive it in case you can't catch it live:

They're hoping to include footage of an intervention at a Super Wal-Mart in the archive.

Reverend Billy and the Church of Stop Shopping are the Ecologist magazine's featured performers at Conway Hall, June 9th 7:30pm. 25 Red Lion Square. Tickets are £10 or £3.50 for concessions students, unemployed. www.theecologist.org.

The Church of Stop Shopping refutes the sin of sweatshop consumables and the transnational chain-store wasteland. Inject theater into your local corporate sore with retail intervention!
