Dis-asda Final eviction

ossory rd. | 27.02.2004 12:53 | London

Walmart are wankers!

The last bit of land on Ossory rd. currently squatted has been served court papers. The hearing is on the 2nd of march. With this, walmart/Bailiffs will be in posession of all properties on the proposed walmart site. Thats it ....end of story.1 and a half yrs of resistance is now coming to an end. We are very very few in number. What we will do on the final day, we dont know yet! So far more than 6 eviction attempts have been foiled all in all.

oops......and for thos who did not know Walmart are not only the richest corporation in the world but the most unethical and evil multinatiuonal of them all, beats McDonalds by far. Unfortunately a lot of people dont know much abt walmarts evil practices as they are mainly based in states and as such most anti-walmart stance is common there, plus they go by other names in other places, asda here for example.

"Walmart's stance on this campaign is that AAll thiss has been going on for too long now, more than a yr, and the protesters will be demolished to make way for new superstore."

Directions for those of you who may like to visit:

Ossory Road is off the Old Kent Road, South London. Take buses 53, 172, 453 from Elephant and Castle, 21 from London Bridge or 78 from Liverpool Street. Get off two stops after Tescos on the Old Kent Road. the site is directly behind the big ugly advertising hoarding on your right. Walking down Ossory Road which is just before you come to that advertising hoarding, and stay on the left hand side of the road. Entrance is on the left. we've barricaded all around there so you'll have to work out how to get on the land somehow yourself.

if you're coming from New Cross, get off the first stop immediately after McDeath drive-thru.

you can't fool the children of the revolution

situation with bailiffs and security

If you havent visited ossory rd in the past few months .......!
There is construction/pre-construction activities going on all around the ossory rd site. There is a a heavy presence of security employed by walmart in the area. Abt 12+dogs in the previously squatted building on ossory rd. plus more in the building on Malt street(where the last party was) and another set of security in teh adjacent photocopier place. Basically the site on ossory rd. currently occupied by protesters is kind of under siege for the past few weeks now......and they might start moviing in with cop backup anytime after the courts decision on tuesday morning.
