In
London, the Greek goddess Venus joined protests against the commercialisation of valentines day. She
invited everybody for a group hug by the statue of Eros on Trafalgar Square. Eros was adorned with red heart balloons, people made their own valentine cards, the rhythms of resistance samba band entertained the crowds [

San Francisco celebrated under the Slogan "Reclaim the Streets and Desires" with a big Street Party. The party was in full swing with a full-on sound system, a pirate marching band, street theater, couches, mattresses, paint splattered on GAP, and an impromptu soccer game in the middle of the street.
