Zombies and vampires of the dead Left have taken over the ESF, smothering the UK assembly with the stink of their persistent decay. They are now moving into the working groups, infecting with their touch the young green sprigs; the shoots that push up from the grassroots. The shadow of their domain spreads, hiding its malaise in the bland efficiency of their dead faces. The current ESF is a contagious disease that can but spread into the hearts of real alternatives.
But facing the creatures of the grave, bringing the sunlight of openness and the sharpened unity of consensus, are the myriad alternatives; vernacular, powerful, cooperative and free… As they keep learning, talking, cooperating and building in their own structures, the pyramid of hierarchy will be left behind them to moulder and collapse.
